ARCHIVES CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
Students participating in GATEWAI must complete the 12-credit Archives Certificate Program.  Students should begin this program by taking LIS 625.  Those who have already completed LIS 625 will then take two required archives courses as listed below.  

Program Requirements:
 four 3-credit courses as follows:
   
   Two Required Courses:

    LIS 625 - Management of Archives & Special Collections        
    LIS 698 - Practicum/Internship in Archives and Archives Project 
                    (see internship for prerequisites for LIS 698)    
    
    Two courses from the following list:            
    LIS 632 - Conservation and Preservation    
    LIS 650 - Principles of Records Management    
    LIS 696 - Special Collections Institutes    
    LIS 697 - Projects in Digital Archives    
    LIS 697 – Management of Electronic Records    
    LIS 697 - Special Topics in Archives and Manuscripts    

    Total  =  12 credits (four 3-credit courses)
