Pratt-SILS ARCHIVES CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
This 12-credit Advanced Certificate in Archives can be taken as
part of a student's MSLIS degree or as a post master's certificate for
those holding an MLS from as ALA accredited program.
Students matriculated in the MSLIS degree program can choose
to take this 12-credit Archives Certificate Programs as part of their 36-credit
degree. Designed to prepare students for careers in archives and related fields
as special collections, digital libraries, records management and museums, this
course of study provides both archival theory, practice and research.
Considered part of the broader field of Cultural Informatics, archives
and digital archives have wide application in today's information landscape.
For matriculated Pratt-SILS students, to enroll,
complete and sign an application form and mail or
deliver in person to the SILS office.
