New Students
(Updated as of May 9, 2024) This information is to keep you informed regarding timing for your financial aid package.
General Timeline:
As you may be aware, the federal government updated the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) process this year and is experiencing some delays.
The Department of Education started releasing FAFSA information to schools in batches, beginning in mid-March.
Once Pratt receives your FAFSA information, we will work to confirm your financial aid packages as soon as possible. We hope for a 1-5 business day turnaround as we receive each batch.
We thank you for your patience as the Department of Education progresses with providing us with your information.
For those required to make FAFSA Updates/Corrections:
The Department of Education has opened the FAFSA for corrections. If you are required to submit corrections to your FAFSA, please do so as soon as possible and alert SFS@pratt.edu of your progress. We are actively assessing the deposit numbers we’ve received up to this point, and are currently running a waitlist for housing due to reaching capacity. Select programs remain open, but some have space. We have several alternative ways to join us at Pratt that we can counsel students about, dpeneding on major. Questions about depositing or ways to join us can be directed to Natalie Capannelli at ncapanne@pratt.edu.
This page will be updated as new information becomes available.
Continuing Students
The continuing student process for FAFSA has not been changed, so you can expect your financial aid package beginning in mid-May. Any questions can be directed to your Financial Aid Counselor.
