The Pratt Young Scholars curriculum scope and sequence includes three years of required studio classes and electives along with a college readiness program. Required studio classes include drawing, painting, sculpture, and printmaking, and electives may include game design, fashion design, film, architecture, or photography. The Scholars college readiness program uses curriculum created by College Access: Research and Action (CARA).
Sophomore Year
In the sophomore year the studio program, and the college readiness program run from October–December in the fall, and February-April in the spring on Wednesdays 4:30–6:30 PM, and Saturdays, 10 AM–1:30 PM. The programs extends into the summer—Pratt Young Scholars are required to attend the two-week Summer Scholars program in July.
Junior Year
In the junior year the studio program, and the college readiness program run from October–December in the fall, and February-April in the spring on Wednesdays 4:30–6:30 PM, and Saturdays, 10 AM–1:30 PM. The programs extends into the summer—Pratt Young Scholars are required to attend the two-week Summer Scholars program in July.
Senior Year
In the senior year the studio program, and the college readiness program run from September–December in the fall, and February-April in the spring on Wednesdays 4:30–6:30 PM, and Saturdays, 10 AM–1:30 PM. Individual college advisement appointments are scheduled and extend into the summer as needed.
