Construction Updates

The following are recent updates regarding capital improvement projects:

North Hall Elevator & Ramp Project: Ryerson Street entrance and ramp is complete and is now open for access to the building. The newly installed elevator is now available for occupants to access the upper floors of North Hall. Please note that ISC which is adjacent to North Hall, is currently under construction. As a result, the pedestrian gate at Ryerson Street may be periodically closed to accommodate material and equipment delivery. For alternate access, please use the entrance at 200 Willoughby Ave.

ISC Health & Wellness Center: Turner Construction was retained as Construction Manager in July and began pre-construction services working with the design team led by FXCollaborative. Site protection and scaffolding is expected to begin in the coming weeks with an anticipated start of construction in March 2025. Completion is scheduled for Spring 2026.

Myrtle Hall – Department of Digital Arts Expansion: The Department of Digital Arts is expanding into the third floor east wing of Myrtle Hall. Designed by OTJ Architects, the new space will feature five new classrooms, specialized audio and recording rooms, and a multipurpose digital art plaza ideal for large gatherings and screenings. A contractor has been selected, and construction began in mid February. The space is anticipated to be ready for the start of the fall semester in 2025.
