DEI Programming and Institute Collaborations

The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) cultivates strong campus partnerships and collaborations with various stakeholders to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion, which are essential for a dynamic living, learning and working environment. Through these efforts, the DEI Office offers a wide-range of support, including consultation, training, resource development, facilitation, inclusive program design assistance, and event co-sponsorship opportunities. 

The Pratt Staff Council, sponsored by the Offices of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Human Resources, and Finance and Administration, is an advisory body dedicated to advancing staff engagement, inclusion, recognition, and retention. Composed of thirty elected members, includin five on the Executive Board and twenty-five committee members—the Council advocates and supports the holistic experiences of Pratt staff members. The Council works to enhance staff satisfaction and professional development through intentionally curated events and strategic collaborations. For more information, please log in to your OnePratt account or email staffcouncil@pratt.edu. The Indigenous Peoples’ Land Circle (IPLC) welcomes all campus members interested in Indigenous knowledge and land stewardship. The Circle supports the integration of the Pratt Institute Living Land Acknowledgment advocating for Indigenous sovereignty and reparations in alignment with Pratt’s commitment to challenging the legacy of settler colonialism. We strive to provide a safe haven for for those engaged in centering indigeneity, land stewardship, and restorative justice. The Pratt Accessibility Advisory Committee plays a key role in assessing, developing, and implementing strategies to enhance accessibility across the Pratt campus. The committee works to ensure equitable access to opportunities, resources, and services for all individuals with disabilities, including efforts in diverse learning modalities, physical environments, programs, services, and digital platforms, while ensuring compliance with accessibility laws and regulations.
