Campus housing on the Brooklyn campus is limited.
Traditional first year and rising sophomores who meet the housing application deadlines are given priority over all other applicants.
New incoming first year students who meet the deposit and application deadlines and rising sophomores who meet the application deadlines for returning students will be offered campus housing.
All other undergraduate students will be offered housing as space permits.
Space is available for rising juniors-seniors in single, double, and triple room spaces. Housing is more limited for older year students and not guaranteed. Those who are not able to select a space in the continuing student room selection process and those we cannot accommodate through the housing application will be on a waitlist for housing that is addressed over the summer based on cancellations.
All students in campus housing must be full-time, registered students.

Continuing students currently on campus
All current residents wishing to live on campus for the following academic year are required to participate in the Continuing Student Room Selection Process which begins in February. On-campus housing is only available for undergraduate students. Information sessions will be held during the spring semester to explain the process for returning campus students.
Rising Sophomores who follow the process and meet deadlines are guaranteed space on-campus in double or triple room spaces.
Space is available for rising juniors through seniors in single, double, and triple room spaces. Housing is more limited for older year students and not guaranteed. Continuing students currently off campus
Continuing students who currently live off-campus, or on leaves of absence may apply to live on campus. Campus housing will be offered as space permits.

A student with a physical, mental health or other disability in need of special housing or dietary needs should indicate that on their housing application, but must also get in contact with the Learning/Access Center (L/AC) to inquire about the process to request an accommodation.
The L/AC will determine what documentation is needed to enroll with the L/AC and determine reasonable accommodations.
Inquiries relating to Emotional Support Animals should also be directed to the L/AC.
To ensure consideration of the special housing accommodations, applications and documentation for qualifying conditions must be received by March 1 for returning students, and April 30 for incoming new students for the fall semester. For the spring semester, documentation and requests must be received by November 15. Email lac@pratt.edu with any related questions.
Are ESAs permitted on campus?
Students who wish to bring an emotional support animal to campus housing must be registered with and approved by the L/AC prior to bringing the animal to the residence halls. If approved, students must also abide by the ESA policy and student responsibilities.
We will notify you by email if we are able to offer you campus housing; you will receive a room offer by email and will have a short period of time to accept the assignment offer. Offers not accepted by the deadline will be canceled and offered to the next student if there is a waitlist.
Students wishing to return may apply for campus housing and will be offered housing as space permits.
A housing deposit of $300 is required as part of the housing application process.
Students who have scholarships that pay for housing will be exempt from the housing deposit and will not see this requirement on their housing application.
Students are assigned rooms with consideration for preferences indicated on the housing application. Specific requests for buildings, room types, etc., cannot be guaranteed. If none of your preferences are available, we will automatically make an assignment to a room type that is available.
Campus housing space is limited so we cannot guarantee that we will be able to assign students to their preferred spaces. There may be limited time periods during the start or end of semesters where we may offer a room change period, at which time students may request a room change.
Students who have received a room assignment offer as part of the housing application process may choose not to accept the room offer if they feel the space does not meet their needs and are free to secure alternative and off campus housing.
Students coming to Pratt from other schools as part of a study exchange may apply for campus housing as well. Information about your program is usually provided to you as part of your study abroad application process. You may also contact us (reslife@pratt.edu) should you require assistance in securing campus housing at Pratt.
Students with plans to study abroad should contact our office to arrange for housing should they wish to live on campus when they return. We recommend that you make these arrangements prior to leaving campus as we cannot guarantee we will be able to secure campus housing for you while you are abroad.
Pratt offers limited housing for students during the summer months who need to be on campus for jobs and classes. Spaces will be limited and not all residence halls will be open during the summer months. More information can be found on our summer housing page.
Students’ housing and meal plan fees are posted to the same accounts as the tuition fees. Payment arrangements may be made inclusive of your tuition fees. More information about payments and billing can be found on our Billing Resources page.
