Space limitations on campus prevent us from offering many housing changes during the academic year. Each semester there will be a Room Swap opportunity. This is where two residents can mutually agree and request to swap spaces with one another. 

If the residence halls have a number of available vacant spaces, Residential Life will open a Room Change Application. The room change application is offered to give students the opportunity to upgrade their room (from a double to a single, for example) or to move in with a friend. This process will only take place if space allows and is not guaranteed to happen each semester.

Residential Life & Housing does not view Room Swaps or Changes as a method to resolve a roommate conflict. Conflicts should be brought to the attention of the RA or Hall Director ASAP. 

Residents will be notified via email of all opportunities to change their housing assignment.
