Graduate Application Fee Waivers

Financial hardship waivers are for U.S. citizens and permanent residents who show eligible financial need on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

How to make your request: 

1. Fill out the currently available FAFSA here (instructions can be found on studentaid.gov’s website).
2. Download your Student Aid Report (SAR)
3. Fill out Pratt’s Fee Waiver Request Form and upload your SAR showing your Student Aid Index (SAI). No other financial documents will be considered. 
4. You must show an SAI of “0” or less.

Events fee waivers are available for applicants who attend an admissions or recruitment-focused event or meeting. This can include any of the following: 

• Information Sessions
• Faculty or Staff Meetings 
• Pratt campus tours

2. Upload your appointment confirmation or email from a staff member noting your attendance. 

Reapplication fee waivers are available for applicants who have applied to a graduate-level program at Pratt in the past year.

A fee waiver is available to Pratt undergraduate students who have conferred, or will confer, a bachelor’s degree at Pratt and would like to apply to a graduate program.

2. Include your Pratt ID number in the field provided

An application fee waiver is available to active Pratt faculty or staff who are applying to a graduate program.

Special programs fee waivers are available for applicants who are current or past participants in one of the programs listed below:

Outside Organization fee waivers are available for applicants who are current or past participants in one of the programs listed below:

• LPDP – Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education Agency

2. Upload a document from the program documenting the dates of your participation. 

Fee Waivers are granted to applicants who have served in the U.S. military. Thank you for your service!

2. Upload a scan of your military I.D. or other proof of service, such as discharge papers.
