Pratt Master of Landscape Architecture Academic Director Rosetta S. Elkin will speak at the University of Hong Kong’s Landscape Architecture Public Lecture Series on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
The DLA 2024-25 Lecture Series brings together research and practice positions in an exploration of the crucial role of materials, site, and fieldwork in landscape architecture. In an era when digital methodologies are becoming increasingly prominent, this collection of lectures aims to reevaluate sensory experiences and adopt fundamental approaches for addressing environmental challenges.
The series examines the connections between contemporary and traditional interpretations of “working in the field” by highlighting shifting techniques and technologies. Speakers are invited to share their critical fieldwork experiences and position on-site practices informed by a nuanced understanding of climate, ecological and cultural dynamics.
