Faculty Resources shares information on the organizations and departments that represent faculty and assist in the pursuit of teaching, research and funding:
- The Pratt Faculty Union, the UFCT Local 1460 represents and bargains collectively with the administration on behalf of both full and part-time faculty members.
- The Academic Senate, is Pratt’s faculty/administration governance body, which represents faculty, chairs, and staff who teach at the Institute. The Senate also produces the Faculty Handbook, a useful resource for faculty.
- The Center for Teaching and Learning in the Provost’s Office also supports faculty, offers an Orientation for new faculty, hosts Faculty Learning Communities and more.
- The Provost’s office shares Internal funding opportunities.
The Department of Art and Design Education offers the following resources for faculty and staff:
- The ADE Faculty Handbook (updated annually, sent by email) shares details of department resources.
- All ADE faculty are required by the New York State Education Department to complete EdLaw Training.
All faculty teaching in Saturday Art School are required to read and complete the documents available on the Saturday Art School faculty and staff platform.
