The Associate Degree Programs’ mission is to provide a professional, inclusive, equitable and creative learning environment where rigorous, career focused art and design curricula balance technical knowledge and skills with the development of critical thinking and conceptual abilities. The department serves a diverse population of both traditional and nontraditional students. It offers two types of degree programs. Associate of Occupational Studies (AOS) degrees provide a career-oriented track, which prepares students for careers in the art and design professions, and Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degrees provide a transfer-oriented track, offering students the opportunity for continued education.
