For information on how to obtain a letter of invitation so your family can get visas to visit the US for graduation, please email commence@pratt.edu with the subject line: “Letter of invitation request for Commencement”.
Seating is General Admission. Student graduates will sit up front in a separate section from guests.
All graduates who complete the Grad App by December 11, 2024 and the ticket request form by March 7, 2025 can receive up to two (2) guest tickets and are eligible for 1-2 additional guest tickets. Extra tickets are not guaranteed.

If you have more family members than tickets, we recommend checking with friends who may have tickets they do not expect to use. Finally, the Commencement ceremony will be livestreamed – there will be a link at the top of www.pratt.edu page to the livestream on the day of the ceremony.

Because you will be walking around Manhattan and onto the stage at Radio City Music Hall, it’s always wise to dress for the weather, walking on pavement, and navigating stairs.
Graduates should wear the appropriate regalia for their highest degree, in this case, Master’s regalia.
Yes. Bachelor’s gowns are designed to be worn closed and have pointed sleeves. Master’s gowns have oblong sleeves that are square cut at the rear and arc cut away at the front. Master’s gowns may also have a long “tail” on each sleeve.
Master’s degree candidates often wear a hood with their gown. Hood colors can correspond to different academic disciplines, or use traditional or school colors. The hood is draped over the gown’s shoulders and can symbolize the graduate’s academic achievements and dedication.
Yes! Provide them with your Pratt ID (or a copy of it) and they will be able to pick up your regalia for you at one of our Graduation Fair dates:

The person with the disability does not have to sit alone. Your entire party may sit together in the accessible seating sections. All graduates receive the same number of tickets, regardless of section.

If you think that your family member will need a wheelchair, please contact lac@pratt.edu and notify staff upon your arrival at Radio City Music Hall.
Service animals are always welcome at Radio City Music Hall. If you are requesting tickets for the ADA sections, it is helpful, though not essential, to let us know at that time that your family will be accompanied by a service animal. Reminder: no other pets of any size will be permitted inside the event venues.
Personnel from Pratt Institute’s Public Safety office and Radio City Music Hall’s security will respond quickly to any medical emergency.
