Immerse Yourself in a Rigorous Artistic and Academic Experience
Pratt’s Summer PreCollege program is a full-time, academically intensive experience, where you dive deep into your chosen creative field. Our historic 25-acre Brooklyn campus is more than a place to learn. It’s a lush haven where students create, work, and grow alongside fellow artists and innovators during our 4 week credit intensive program. Beyond the classroom, it’s a dynamic hub for connections and collaborations that spark inspiration and fuel their artistic journey.
Intensive Studio Courses: Enroll in two hands-on studio courses, explore a range of disciplines and gain insights into Pratt’s diverse majors.
Expert Instruction: Learn from Pratt faculty in state-of-the-art studios and classrooms.
Curriculum: Earn 4 college credits and learn Pratt’s undergraduate approach to academics.
Final Exhibition: Showcase your work to friends, family, and the Pratt community in a final exhibition.
Residential Student:
Campus Life: Fully immerse yourself in Pratt’s arts community at its historic 25-acre Brooklyn campus.
Extracurricular Activities:

Commuter Students:
Flexibility: Attend studio hours and plan for equivalent homework time at home.
Note: Some assignments require on-campus tools and cannot be completed remotely.

Eligibility Requirements
- Age: 16-18 years old currently enrolled in high school.
Citizenship: U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or international student with a valid U.S. F1 visa
Motivated: Self-driven and ready to embrace college-level challenges with support
Passionate: Eager to explore art, design, architecture, or writing. All experience levels are welcome, but some prior creative practice is recommended.
Important Financial Information:
Late Applications: We have limited capacity and may consider late applications if space allows.
Billing: Students are billed mid-April. Please note, payment is due immediately.
Additional Costs: Plan for course materials ($200-$400), local travel, and incidentals.
