"Architecture in the World" examines systems and frameworks -- infrastructure, typologies, site, precedents, design and ordering -- that undergird architectural work. The course is meant to foster a better understanding of architecture's role in relation to contemporary, paradigmatic, cultural shifts. Students will participate in discussions, read texts, present case studies and write a final paper. The course will be conducted as a seminar.
