In this course, students will learn to apply an entrepreneurial mindset to diverse career pathways in the arts. It will serve as an introduction for artists to business, trend analysis, leadership, marketing, branding, and legal issues in the arts. Students will adapt multiple business strategies throughout the course to engage with various facets of the arts industry successfully. Students will also interact with experts with diverse perspectives and backgrounds and explore both nonprofit and for-profit business models in and out of the United States and overseas.
