This unique course delves into the realm of photography as conceptual art. Participants will be encouraged to play and experiment freely in a supportive, creative environment. You will be prompted to develop and clarify your personal, visual poetics. All will be challenged to reconsider the possibilities of idea-centered image-making. The class is perfect for diving into a new body of work or getting acquainted with conceptual approaches to photography. Any image capture device may be used. The class will include weekly assignments and prompts, individual feedback, and a broad survey of contemporary photography for inspiration.
