This is a three-credit course that offers a unique, full-scale immersion in 17th-early 20th centuries histories of French design in an expanded content-field beyond the classroom. The course will examine the intertwined development of French decorative arts and design, from fashion and architecture to furniture, interior, and graphic design through in-person lectures, seminars, and guided visits at renowned Paris institutions. A hands on, experiential learning opportunity, students will immerse themselves fully in French culture while part of this Pratt in Paris program.
