XCSI-602 Universal & Culturally Sensitive Design
0 Credits
Learn about design that is accessible and designed to meet the needs of all visitors, including to meet the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) standards and globally accepted visual and verbal content. This is a fundamental requirement for Good Design. Study culturally neutral and relevant design through a series of case studies. Learn about and apply designs that are resilient and flexible to accommodate newness over time. By the end of this course, students will have completed and presented a basic design proposal toward their portfolios. Note for those with no prior design background: it is recommended to first take a design course before enrolling into this one, such as Exhibition Design, Sustainable Design Foundation, or Product Design.
