Dr. Theo Prudon, longtime historic preservation adjunct professor in the Graduate Center for Planning and the Environment, was appointed Knight of the Order of Orange-Nassau by His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands. The honor was bestowed in recognition of Dr. Prudon’s contributions to furthering Dutch-American relations and his tremendous achievements in architecture and conservation.

Milestone Generations, a documentary directed by Film/Video Visiting Assistant Professor Justice Whitaker in collaboration with DC Comics, is now streaming on HBO Max. The film explores the legacy of Milestone Media, the first Black-owned comic book company.

The vigil for Iran organized by Fine Arts faculty and held on the Brooklyn campus was highlighted in the New York Times article “How Iranians in New York Are Helping the Protests Abroad.”

Marilyn Nance, BFA Communications Design ’76, was featured in a New York Times profile that highlighted her Last Day in Lagos book of photographs from the FESTAC ’77 gathering of Black artists in Nigeria. The publication is included on Aperture’s 2022 PhotoBook Awards Shortlist and was also highlighted in the Guardian and Publishers Weekly.
