The Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) and the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) are excited to invite all faculty and staff to a thought-provoking two-part series of Interactive Conversations on the critical topics of Affirmative Action and Race in Higher Education . As we engage in meaningful dialogue, we will delve into the historical and legal context of recent Supreme Court rulings on affirmative action and explore their potential implications in our institutional, classroom, and personal contexts.

(Part I) After Affirmative Action: Race Neutrality in Higher Education – November 2, 12:30–1:30 pm (Virtual) — In the first part of our series, we will lay the foundation by examining the historical and legal context surrounding affirmative action rulings. We will also discuss the potential institutional and classroom implications for Pratt Institute, campus constituents, and ourselves. We encourage you to prepare for the conversation by reviewing some key resources on the historical/legal context, institutional implications, and classroom considerations of race neutrality in higher education.
