Anti-Racism Workshop

The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) invites all faculty and staff to participate in our Anti-Racism Workshop offered virtually on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM EDT.
The Anti-Racism Workshop, facilitated by Jazmin A. Peralta, Executive Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, is an opportunity to:
LEARN – About the interwoven relationship between historical events; institutional structures (federal/state laws, practices, policies); internalized ideologies (beliefs, perceptions, values, and attitudes); and social structures (federal/state programs, norms, and culture).
ANALYZE – Your understanding of racial identity, individual biases, privileges, and internalized prejudices.
ENGAGE – In strategies to integrate anti-racism tools and practices into your everyday life to become an active anti-racist ally in the fight for racial justice.
Part-time faculty can submit a stipend request form to receive a $100.00 stipend for participating in the Anti-Racism Workshop.
