About the Exhibitions

Pratt School of Architecture 70 Years+, An Ongoing Story

In 1887, Pratt Institute was founded on the premise of the transformative impact of education, which was to provide an affordable college education and welcome students from all walks of life while developing and sustaining pathways to more equitable workplaces and careers. Initially, architecture was taught as a subject but was formalized by the New York State Board of Regents in 1923 as the Department of Architecture within the School of Fine and Applied Arts. In 1954 the department became the Pratt School of Architecture. Since then the school has grown into a highly ranked, large, and diverse school – now over 1,100 students study in ten different undergraduate and graduate programs that all teach disciplines that impact the built environment. We are celebrating the School of Architecture 70th Anniversary milestone with an exhibition.

Pratt Works: Pratt School of Architecture’s Bachelor of Architecture and Master of Architecture Recent Studio Projects

This exhibition celebrates work across all studio years in the B.Arch and the M.Arch programs. Organized to coincide with the NAAB accreditation visit, the exhibition gives a sweeping view of exemplary work across the programs and provides an exciting view of the dynamic community of these two professional degrees.

This event is open to the public.
