Bridge Club is a live cinema event where participants learn to play the partnership card game Bridge. Card tables surrounded by projections of TV shows, movies and 16mm films featuring Bridge to recreate the energy of mid-century bridge club mania. No experience is necessary to play, but tickets are limited. This is a collaborative event between Prismatic Ground & Pratt Bridge Club. Please arrive before 7pm to be assured a seat. Waitlisted participants will be allowed in at the game start time. Snacks included.

Pratt Bridge Club was founded as a cinema-card game experience by Pratt students and faculty advisor Jim Finn whose films, according to The New York Times, “often play like unearthed artifacts from an alternate universe”. Prismatic Ground is a New York festival centered on experimental documentary and avant-garde film — work that pushes the formal boundaries of non-fiction, privileges a heightened artistic experience over clear meaning, and/or conveys a liberatory political sensibility. Festival founder Inney Prakash is the Curator of Film at the Asia Society.

This event is open to the public.
