Demystifying the Fashion Supply Chain
November 4, 2024 10:00 AM â 11:45 AM
ARC E-02 TEC Lecture Hall
Join Fashion Design Adjunct Associate Professor, James Mendolia for a lecture and interactive workshop activity that allows students an opportunity to understand the current fashion supply chain and why it is broken. Students will begin to comprehend how fast fashion has created a design development cycle that has evolved to meet the needs of the customer. Mendolia will provide examples of collaborative supply chains that are transparent and ethical. Students will also engage in a workshop activity that examines the supply chain from farm to fashion to allow participants to understand how emerging designers can activate change to move toward responsible future fashion systems.
This event is open to the public.
