Film Screening: The Fourth Kingdom: The Kingdom of Plastics

The Center for Critical Discard Research presents a film screening about how the work of recycling takes place in New York City. The Fourth Kingdom: The Kingdom of Plastics is a compassionate through-the-seasons study of a non-profit recycling and redemption center in New York called Sure We Can. Despite making a living off recycling waste created by a consumerist culture, the Sure We Can family still dreams of a better tomorrow in a harsh capitalist society.

This session is open to the Pratt community and intended for anyone curious about what happens to our recyclables once we’ve discarded them. We will have pizza and a short discussion after the screening.
