Now in MSCI Immersive Gallery: Mycelium Intelligence

Join Communication Design faculty Jessica Jabre with MSCI on March 25th from 4:30pm – 7:30pm to interact with the exhibition and enjoy light refreshments. Mycelium Intelligence is an interactive installation that invites participants to engage with the hidden wisdom of mycelium—nature’s vast underground network.

First presented at MozFest House-Amsterdam, this multisensory experience merges art, biosystems, and technology. Showcasing the parallels between mycelium networks and artificial intelligence focusing on connectivity, adaptability, and generativity. Participants engage with visuals projected onto sinewave panels and bricks crafted from myco-foam, a sustainable material grown from mycelium.

The panels serve as both visual displays and audio insulators, while the bricks demonstrate eco-conscious architectural elements. Offering a tactile encounter, generative visuals and reactive sounds ripple across these organic forms, responding to real-time interactions.

Mycelium Intelligence is showing now through March 29th (closed for Spring Break) in ARC LL F09.
