One Million Experiments

September 26, 2024 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM

Location TBD

A Critical Conversations Event

One Million Experiments is a film that delves into the myriad ways communities have reimagined safety and justice. Born out of a podcast and a curated collection of community-based safety projects from the 2020 uprising, this documentary features long-form interviews with movement workers worldwide. The film expands our understanding of what keeps us safe, celebrates the transformative work already happening, and invites everyone to participate in the joyous journey of liberation. The film emphasizes the importance of exploring multiple pathways to freedom rather than seeking a single solution.

We are thrilled to welcome the film’s co-hosts, Damon Williams and Daniel Kisslinger, representatives from NY-based experiment organizations, and a special guest moderator. Together, they will lead a performance, screening, and interactive conversation showcasing the emerging liberatory possibilities.

This event is part of Critical Conversations: creating space for and educating one another about our multiple cultural contexts, activism, civil discourse, and academic engagement.
