📖 Join us as we celebrate the launch of Through Witnessing: Threading the critiquing, making, teaching of Design, a collection of essays, lectures, and interviews reflecting on what it means to teach and design today. We’ll be sharing a series of polyphonic readings to enact our threading — a way of mapping the themes emerging from the book and the field.

🔹 Weaving together ideas on designing as a mechanism of maintenance and pedagogical expressions of rage, generosity, forgiveness, slowness, and chaos, these threads explore questions such as: How does design give form to social fictions? How does the professionalization of design schooling maintain the priorities of nation and capital? What are the forms of agency available to designers?

🔹 Threading provides multiple points of entry and divergence, prompting readers to see the content through various lenses and make their own connections. This intentional process has made space for building relationships together, as we have engaged with how to make sense of complicity and negotiated grief, sadness, joy, and hope. “Post” doesn’t mean moving past; it is a continuous search along the limits and boundaries of what is a pedagogical practice. We look forward to sharing this space for reflection and conversation with you.
