A Critical Conversations Event
The Student Diversity Council is collaborating with Pratt Alum Jonell Joshua to facilitate a creative art-making workshop centering storytelling for social change. Jonell Joshua is an Author & Illustrator based in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from Pratt Institute where she received her BFA in Communications Design with a focus in Illustration. Jonell’s artwork has explored a range of themes, notably highlighting topics in Black American culture. She has created illustrations for clients including The New York Times, New York Magazine, The Washington Post, PBS, NPR, and Warby Parker. Her work has been recognized by The Society of Illustrators and American Illustration: International Motion Art Awards. In 2024 Jonell was the featured artist for The Schomburg Center Literary Festival. Please RSVP on Engage or drop by the Student Union on Wednesday, February 5th from 12pm-1:30pm.
