Service
The Color Print Center serves the printing and finishing needs for Pratt students. We offer centralized output in the areas of black and white and color laser with a choice of four different paper stocks, professional photo, and large format printing. We also offer a variety of “finishing” services such as perfect binding, foam core mounting, laminating, and cutting services. All computers in the w14labs have access to the printer fleet in the Color Print Center. For large format printing we offer a variety of standard papers as well as a large selection of specialty stocks including canvas, newsprint, cold and hot press, film, adhesive vinyl, and transparency suitable for silk screening. We also offer wide format printers capable of metalic printing in both silver and gold as well as contour cutting.
All of our labs are color-managed and we offer a series of workshops each semester which allow students to better understand the services offered and and proper file preparation. The center works directly with faculty who may have projects in their classes that involve students using the services of the center.
Every semester students are provided with a free print allotment equivalent to 150 B/W letter-sized pages. Students use their Pratt Card to add funds that are used for printing or other services that accept the card as a form of payment.
