The Sirovich Family Student Scholarship supports, with up to $5,000 in funding, graduate and upperclass undergraduate students at Pratt doing STEAM work in their thesis, capstone, or other major project in the upcoming academic year. Student scholars collaborate with at least two experts, one in STEM and the other in any non-STEM field. If suitable expertise cannot be found within the Institute, experts from outside of the Pratt community can join the project team instead. Multiple students may team up to work on a single project.
It is the responsibility of the student applicant to secure written expression of commitment from their expert collaborators prior to submitting their application.

Project teams in this program can take a variety of forms, including:
- Upperclass undergraduate/graduate student(s) + STEM faculty/staff member(s) + non-STEM faculty/staff member(s)
- Upperclass undergraduate/graduate student(s) + STEM expert(s) outside of Pratt + non-STEM faculty/staff member(s)
