On October 29 at 7 PM EDT, Pratt Institute will highlight dynamic “Legends in Action” in an exciting online celebration that will raise funds for Pratt student scholarships that support diversity across the Institute. This first-ever Legends virtual event is open to everyone and registration for the event is free.
Held every year, the Legends scholarship benefit has built a community of loyal supporters motivated to further the education and success of Pratt students through scholarships and honor creative icons who embody the fundamental belief that art, design, and architecture can change the world.
Legends 2020 will spotlight “Legends in Action,” creative trailblazers who are taking action to make a difference in their community or in society at large, including Laurie Anderson, Timothy Greenfield-Sanders, Tommy Hilfiger, Karim Rashid, David Rockwell, Paula Scher, and Pratt alumni William T. Williams and Robert Wilson.
Pratt President Frances Bronet will host the event, which will also feature remarks by Pratt Board of Trustees Chair Bruce Gitlin, past and present Legends student speakers, and a conversation between President Bronet and Pratt alumna, artist, curator, and educator Deborah Willis, MFA ’79.
