On March 14, the Pratt Institute 2025 Alumni Achievement Awards will be presented to four accomplished alumni at a luncheon held at Bryant Park Grill in Manhattan.

The Alumni Achievement Awards recognize outstanding graduates who have distinguished themselves in their fields, who have earned a high degree of respect among their colleagues and in the general community, and whose impact has been felt on a regional, national, or international level. The award recipients were chosen through a nomination process and selected by a committee of five past Alumni Achievement Award honorees. Pascale Sablan, BArch ’06, will act as the event’s emcee.

The luncheon will also honor the class of 1975 for their accomplishments spanning 50 years since graduation and recognize that their legacy plays a vital role in Pratt’s success today and in the future. There will be a special toast for the class prior to the awards program, and attendees will receive a commemorative gift. 

This year, Alumni Achievement Awards will be presented to: 

Emilio Sosa, Fashion Design ’89 
Lifetime Achievement Award, honoring a Pratt graduate whose work has challenged existing paradigms over the course of a prominent career.

Emilio Sosa is the current chair of the American Theatre Wing and is a celebrated costume designer known for his work in theater, film, and television. With a rich background in fashion design and performance arts, Sosa brings a unique and culturally resonant perspective to his designs, often drawing inspiration from his Afro-Latino heritage where he blends intricate craftsmanship with a deep understanding of character and narrative. A five-time Tony nominee, his work has been featured in numerous Broadway productions including Purlie Victorious, Ain’t No Mo, Sweeney Todd, and The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess. A passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion in the arts, he uses his platform to mentor emerging designers and champion underrepresented voices within the arts community. With a career defined by artistry, integrity, and vision, Sosa continues to influence the world of costume design with his distinctive and thought-provoking creations, earning him critical acclaim and prestigious awards.

Little Wing Lee, MS Interior Design ’06
Impact Award, recognizing a Pratt graduate for contributions that have made a deep and meaningful positive impact.

Little Wing Lee is an award-winning interior designer with over 15 years of experience in cultural, commercial, and residential projects. Her sharp eye for color, texture, and materiality, along with her thoughtful and narrative-driven approach, brought her to work with some of the most renowned and inventive design firms, including SOM, Rockwell Group, Ralph Appelbaum Associates, APPARATUS, and Ace Hotel Group/Atelier Ace. 

In 2019, she started her own interior design practice, Studio & Projects. She also publicly launched Black Folks in Design, an organization whose mission is to bring awareness to and promote the cultural contributions, excellence, and importance of Black designers. 

Prior to her career in design, Lee worked in documentary television and film, contributing to several Oscar- and Emmy-nominated projects. Lee is a graduate of the Interior Design Masters Program at Pratt Institute, studied landscape architecture at Harvard University Graduate School of Design, and received her bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College.

Neda Kakhsaz, BArch ’16, and Zabie Mustafa, BArch ’13
Rising Star Award, recognizing a Pratt graduate for significant success and promise of sustained contributions to their creative industry.

Neda Kakhsaz is an architect and designer who was born in Tehran, Iran, and grew up in Los Angeles, California. She completed her architectural training with the highest honors at Pratt Institute. She has worked for KIMOY Studios and Think Architecture and as project architect at the Architectural Digest top 100 firm Studio Shamshiri. At Shamshiri, she had the privilege of working on landmark historical residences all over the US, from Los Angeles to New York to Houston.

Zabie Mustafa is a licensed architect and designer born and raised in New York, with original ancestral roots from Uzbekistan and Afghanistan. Mustafa attended Pratt Institute, where he completed his Bachelor of Architecture and received the distinguished Degree Project Award for his thesis, [AGE-ing] The Aging City and Suburbia. He previously held positions at Ole Sondresen Architect, Workshop APD, and the Architectural Digest top 100 firm The Archers. Mustafa also spent a number of years working with the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and the Whitney Museum of American Art as an associate exhibition designer, working closely with the curatorial team on prominent exhibitions.
