The interior design and architecture programs at Pratt Institute are ranked among the best in the United States, according to “America’s Top-Ranked Architecture & Design Schools” from DesignIntelligence (DI), a monthly architecture and design journal. The 2019-20 rankings are based on the perspectives of three key audiences: architecture and design professionals, academic leaders, students, and recent graduates.
Pratt’s graduate interior design program was ranked as the second most admired in the country in the survey. For the fourth consecutive year, the undergraduate interior design program was ranked second in the nation. The two programs ranked in the top three of all Twelve Key Focus Areas, with both undergraduate and graduate programs holding the top spots in engineering fundamentals, interdisciplinary studies, and sustainable built environments/adaptive design/resilient design.
For the second year in a row, Pratt’s undergraduate architecture program was ranked as the seventh most admired in the country. The program placed in the top 10 of the Twelve Key Focus Areas in six categories, including communications and presentation skills, design technologies, design theory and practice, practice management, project planning and management, and research. The graduate architecture program was ranked 18th.
