Biography
Ali Newhard (she/her), M.F.A., is an artist and educator based in Brooklyn, NY. Her digital media practice uses photography, video, and installation to explore experimental storytelling through editing fragmentation and rupture of traditional climactic structures. She has shown work at Gallery 263, Microscope Gallery, the Gelman Gallery, the Leroy Neiman Gallery, Washington Project for the Arts, and NewFest LGBTQ+ film festival.
She received a Bachelor of Arts in Film & Media Arts from American University and a Masters of Fine Arts in Photography from Rhode Island School of Design. She has taught at Rhode Island School of Design and Pratt Institute.
