Biography
Amanda Blancato is the Associate Director of External Communications & Media Relations at Pratt Institute. A public relations and external communications professional with over 15 years of experience, Amanda is focused on uncovering, amplifying, and strategically promoting institutional stories across a wide array of media. She enjoys teaching others about working with the media, as well as providing training to colleagues and students ahead of interviews and speaking opportunities. Prior to coming to Pratt in 2016, Amanda held positions in public relations, copywriting, social media, and copy editing for a variety of companies including Forevermark Diamonds, MechoSystems, and McGraw-Hill Construction.
Amanda earned her Bachelor of Arts in English with a concentration in Journalism from the University of Delaware.
