Biography
Benjamin Martinson, AIA is an associate technical architect at Buro Happold were he specializes in exterior envelope design. In this role he has collaborated on a wide array of projects in the US and abroad from high-end residences to multi-building high-rise developments. Mr. Martinson is a licensed architect in the state of New York, and he was educated at the University of Colorado in Boulder (Bachelor of Music, Piano Performance 2005) and the Pratt Institute where he received his M.Arch I degree in 2008. Since graduating, he has worked at a number of firms, notably as a designer at KOL/MAC studio in New York, and as a consultant at Heintges Consulting Architects and Engineers.
In addition to his professional work, Benjamin is a Adjunct Associate Professor at the Pratt institute, where has taught various design and representation courses since 2008. Working across many software platforms, he specializes in envelope detailing, parametrics, BIM integration, architectural graphics and digital representation.
