Blake Hiltunen

Biography
Blake Hiltunen is a sculptor and fabricator based in Brooklyn, NY. He double majored in Sculpture and Art History at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design earning his BFA with distinction in 2008. During this time he studied in Florence, Italy, learning Renaissance techniques in mold-making, casting, and stone carving. He earned his MFA in Sculpture from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2014. Blake has professional experience in industrial paint systems, powder coating, fiberglass, and foundry work. He has been a studio assistant to Robert Gober, Tony Matelli, Chris Chiappa, and Marguerite Kahrl among others. In addition to teaching and his own studio practice, Blake is a head installation technician for Vitsoe/Full Wolf Inc, and is a private consultant for sculptural design, fabrication, and finishing.
