Biography
Calvert founded his architectural firm in 1998 guided by a passion for design excellence which has been carefully honed to serve the mission of his clients. Calvert is the recipient of numerous design awards and is a licensed architect with over 25 years of professional experience. Recognized as a thought leader in the design of 21st century libraries and learning spaces, Calvert is regularly invited to conferences in order to share his firm’s work on the changing needs of today’s libraries as they impact programming and design. Prior to establishing his firm, Calvert taught architectural design at Princeton and Cornell while developing the core of his professional experience working with Rafael Viñoly, Diller Scofidio and 1100 Architect. Calvert takes pride in the level of service his firm is able to provide for clients. He oversees the
progress of every project from its conception through design and construction.
