Chris Arabadjis

Biography
Chris Arabadjis is a visual artist who lives in Manhattan and Bearsville, NY and who can often be seen drawing on the NYC subway. Prior to earning an MFA at Pratt Institute, Chris studied nuclear physics under John Dubach at UMass Amherst. His work will be included in the upcoming exhibit Sword Thumbs at Real Tinsel in Milwaukee and in Part 2 of The Apex is Nothing at the Pratt Manhattan Gallery. His work has been exhibited in New York at McKenzie Fine Art, Kathryn Markel, Denise Bibro Fine Art, and The Royal Society of American Art as well as in Boston, San Francisco, and Linz, Austria. And it has been the subject of Steven Baris’ blog The Expanded Diagram Project and the One River School blog by John O’Connor. His drawings have been reproduced on the covers of the poetry collections Don’t Go Back to Sleep and Nerve Chorus, the literary anthology series Emanations, and the ecopoetry anthology Devouring the Green : fear of a human planet as well as in the magazine Physics Today (vol. 70, no. 09) accompanying the article Hidden worlds of fundamental particles. Chris taught the course Symmetry, Shape, and Space for Pratt’s Math & Science Department from 2003 to 2006.
