Claudia Herbst-Tait is a tenured professor at Pratt Institute, where she teaches full-time in the Department of Digital Arts and serves as the MFA 3D Animation and Motion Arts Coordinator. With over 20 years of experience in 3D animation, digital media, and curriculum development, she has mentored undergraduate and graduate students, integrating industry best practices into academic settings. Before academia, she worked at Walt Disney Feature Animation and Disney Interactive, training artists in 2D and 3D production workflows.

Beyond teaching, Claudia is a published author in media journals and anthologies, exploring topics at the intersection of technology, representation, and digital culture. She has also created and published eBooks and educational apps for young learners. Committed to the responsible and meaningful integration of AI into the creative process, she actively explores its applications in digital arts and education. In addition to her academic career, she offers portfolio coaching for students applying to top art schools and entering the industry, providing expert guidance on developing competitive applications.
