David Frisco
Executive Director of Creative Services
Biography
David Frisco holds a joint appointment at Pratt Institute: Executive Director of Creative Service s in Communications and Marketing and Adjunct Professor with CCE in Graduate Communications Design. In the Undergraduate Communications Design program, David was Co-Creative Director of Design Corps, Pratt Institute, a service learning, student-run design studio working for organizations with socially and environmentally minded missions.David co-chaired the Civic Engagement sub-committee for Pratt’s 2019 Strategic Plan. He’s served on the 2023 Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). Self Study Working Group I: Mission and Goals. He currently resides on the Exhibitions Committee for the Pratt Manhattan Gallery.
Outside of Pratt, David is the former Vice President of AIGANY, and the founding partner of IntraCollaborative, a socially minded design collective comprised of Pratt MFA graduates. Their work for CUP, Making Policy Public received a Sappi Ideas that Matter grant, a Core77 Design Award and was featured in the exhibition By the People: Designing a Better America at the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum. Previous to his current role, David was a Senior Design Fellow at Public Policy Lab. Before heading east, David was a Senior Designer at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago.
David holds an MFA in Graphic Design from Yale School of Art and a BDes in Graphic Design from UIC School of Design.
