David Mans

Biography
David Mans is an Associate Applications Developer at Thornton Tomasetti | CORE studio where he focuses on public facing application design and development and computational geometry. Before CORE studio he was the Senior Computational Designer for Grimshaw Architects NYC and a Lead Designer on the Dubai Expo 2020 Sustainability Pavilion’s central canopy. Previously he was a Designer in Woods Bagot’s Global Studio where he worked on over 50 projects in 11 countries including façade design for the multiple award winning SAHMRI project in Adelaide Australia. David is a Visiting Professor at Pratt Institute Undergraduate School of Architecture educating the next generation of designers in computation and branding for over 10 years. At Pratt Institute he is also a member of the Interdisciplinary Technology Lab developing front end applications and back end libraries for experimental design processes. Outside of his professional work, he authors multiple open source plugins for Grasshopper 3d with over 75 thousand downloads collectively and used across a broad range of design industries including Apparel, Product, Nautical, Architectural, and Jewelry design.
