Biography
Deborah Rice is a board certified, registered art therapist, licensed mental health counselor and licensed creative arts therapist. Over the past 18 years she has worked in hospitals, schools and community based organizations as a Clinician, Clinical Supervisor, and Director of Clinical Services and Training. She is an adjunct assistant professor at Pratt Institute, where she teaches a Clinical Practicum course, as well as Psychology of Development I and II to graduate students in the Creative Arts Therapy program. She is a member of MINT (Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers), providing introductory and advanced MI trainings through a trauma informed lens, to organizations throughout New York City. Additionally she has a private practice in Brooklyn where she works with adolescents and young adults to address addiction, trauma and mental wellness through verbal and nonverbal expressive modalities.
