Biography
Emily Ahn Levy / 안은옥 is a cultural organizer and educator at the intersections of social justice and community arts & culture in Lenapehoking / New York City. Emily is a visiting professor in the Urban Placemaking & Management graduate program at Pratt Institute. Emily works with Arts & Democracy and Naturally Occurring Cultural Districts NY (NOCD-NY), and they are on the Board of Directors of Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership in my neighborhood of Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Emily works directly and in collaboration with artists, activists, neighbors, cultural groups, institutions, local government and more in equitable placemaking and placekeeping.
