Biography
Emily Beall, Adjunct Assistant Professor w/CCE, is a teacher, researcher, poet, and former used & new bookseller. Her areas of interest include modern & contemporary literature, modern & postmodern dance, labor studies, and feminism/feminist theory. She teaches core literary studies courses, and electives in young adult literature, the literature & performance of labor, and theory for artists, designers, & writers.
Having worked at Pratt for over fifteen years, Emily has served in many roles, including as Assistant Chairperson of Humanities and Media Studies for five years. Prior to that, she served as co-coordinator of the Pratt Faculty Union Delegates Assembly for two years, as a member on two Contract Negotiation teams, as a member of the Grievance Team, and as Vice President of the Pratt Faculty Union for four years. She currently coordinates the Literature & Writing Minor.
