Eric Ansel

Biography
Eric Ansel, AIA NCARB, Visiting Assistant Professor Interior Design Pratt Institute is an architect licensed to practice in New York and Massachusetts. A founding partner of award-winning architecture and interiors firm Architecture Workshop PC, Eric is an architect and artist with over twenty-five years’ experience in residential design and construction.
Before founding AWPC, he worked at Selldorf Architects, and Cooper Robertson & Partners, among other firms. He has also worked as a project manager on residential construction projects at the Dakota building, the San Remo and the Time-Warner building. Eric’s paintings and drawings have been exhibited in New York, Chicago, and Atlanta.
An NCARB certificate holder and AIA member, Eric’s work as a designer is deeply rooted in his background in fine arts and craft and combines pragmatism with a strong aesthetic sensibility.
Eric grew up in New England building and sailing wooden boats. He has been a member of the Interior Design faculty at Pratt Institute since 2007.
