Gary Polk

Biography
Gary Polk is a practicing architect in the U.S. and a Senior Designer at Bjarke Ingels Group in Brooklyn, NY, where he has led the development of several large-scale projects across the U.S., the Middle East, Japan, and China. He also teaches seminars and studios at Pratt Institute and the University of Pennsylvania Weitzman School of Design and mentors students through the CDP Mentor Program.
Before joining BIG, Gary worked at firms including UNStudio, Richard Meier & Partners Architects, Ibanez Kim Studio, and FJG Architects. His work has been recognized across various platforms, including ArchiPrix International in Chile, The Charette, AD Magazine, and KoozArch, among others. His research outside of BIG explores speculative realism, nonhuman agency, and narrative world-building through digital representation.
