Jen Shepard is originally from Houston, Texas and currently lives and works in New York, New York. She is a painter, sculptor, and installation artist, in addition to being an active art director and designer. Jen received her MFA in painting and printmaking from The University of Texas at Tyler and her MS in Communications Design from Pratt Institute. She has exhibited widely across the U.S. Recent exhibitions include Big Universe, (solo) at One River School, Moon Beams and Fever Dreams (solo) at Lorimoto Gallery in Ridgewood (Queens), NY (2023); Please Scream Inside Your Heart (solo) at Goldscopophilia in Montclair, New Jersey (2020); Color Me In at 550 Gallery, Queens, NY (2023), and Counting the Seconds Between Lightning and Thunder at The Wassaic Project, Wassaic, New York (2023).

Additionally, she has attended residencies at DNA (Hosted by Freight and Volume Gallery, 2020-2024), The Wassaic Project (2016, 2018), The Vermont Studio Center (2019), and The School of Visual Arts (2009).

As an art director Jen has worked for many prestigious agencies and companies including Saatchi and Saatchi, The Wall Street Journal, and Whole Foods Market. She has also taught art and design at universities across the New York City area including Pratt, CUNY, and Hofstra University. Her artwork can be found in the Morgan Lehman flat files, the Fidelity Mutual Corporate Collection, The Freight and Volume DNA Residency Collection and personal collections across the US and Europe.
